Last Night
Workout was good last night. Felt somewhat brief but - I don't want my enthusiasm to result in an injury so im being real easy. I wound up foregoing the pilates class and doing a circuit on the nautilus instead.
Used 80lbs for the leg press but it felt pretty good. The biceps and triceps machines were set at about 20 and 30 lbs respectively but neither one was overly taxing. My trainer did suggest i bump up the weight on the biceps machine but i will see tonight i think im going to stay with the weights i have now and make adjustments next week if i need to.
i like the way they have it set up to work all the major muscle groups aned the stations are right next to each other so you can ostensibly do a whole workout in 20 minutes.
I am going again tonight and will probably do a circuit again. I kind of like the startrac treadmills better but since im going to a different location tonight im nto sure they will have them but if they do i will try to get on one of those. I have been having this feeling of euphoria after leaving the gym and i keep waiting for the "muscle soreness" to kick in and it really hasn't.
My biggest issue last night was feeling tired which was actually ok at least I had a reason to feel that way.

Ok got the first day at the gym over and done with. Was no where near as bad as all that. I spent some time on the tredmill and then followed that up with a pilates mat class which was....very challenging.
I knew it would be though I was suprised to find that the leg excercises were not as bad as all that. Strong legs i guess? The push ups even were not as bad as all that. I found i could do some of the stretches and surprised myself because i didnt feel i would have that kind of flexibility because of my hip issues. I never really had any issue with my hip before during or after.
I actually wished i had more time on the tredmill, but i had to make the class. I am planning to go to the gym after work on monday. Probablly will hit the treadmill again and may catch another pilates class.
The torso and crunch part of the session was no joke...and is where i was the weakest but thats cool i know that will change soon enough as long as i keep at it. The key thing here is that i felt GREAT afterwards and i was proud of myself for keeping up with most of the class and staying for the whole thing.
Looking forward to tonight's gym visit. Will post about that as well.
