Paradigm Shift

I had planned on taking a bunch of pictures, which i probably still will take some they just won't go up just now. Periodically, however I will include some pics. I plan to try and post at least once a week, more if i can manage it and talk about getting back into the gym scene, changing my eating habits and the changes that are needed because its not a situation of , oh im going to go to the gym to lose 20 pounds its a complete lifestyle change that says ok i need to put myself into a routine that includes being active and because right now I have allowed myself to not be active for so long, it will take going to the gym faithfully for several months to put things back in the right direction.

I don't believe i was ever destined to be a size 3 and I wouldnt want to be. I do however wish to find part of the waistline i used to have when I first got married.

I do recall one space of time back in the "gymrat" days where I was churning out crunches with no problem. May not recreate that this time around. My mindset now is different. For one part of the reason I am going back to the gym now is health related. That is to say that my health dictates that i get rid of some of this weight its beginning to take its toll on my body and is starting to manifest itself in my pressure and other things. Long story short my doctor asked me to lose some weight and that is part of this.

The other part, as the title of this post suggests is a paradigm shift. Or a shift in focus period. Most of my life has been spent taking care of others. I have finally reached a place in my life where I am putting the focus on taking care of me. Joining a GOOD gym that offers state of the art equipment and the latest classes with trained and knowledgeable staff will be majorly helpful in this.

As a person who has lived under the onus of high amounts of stress for most of her life, and has tried just about anything one can imagine to relive, and or alleviate the stress load, a lot can be said for shifting focus from that which is causing the stress in the first place.
